About Gratia Stryker-Härtel

From childhood city spelling bee victory to free-flowing prose scrawled on the back of whatever might be at hand, Gratia has always held an avid love for the structure and expressiveness of the world of words.

Gratia completed the coursework for her Diploma in Translation with the Institute of Linguists (London) in 2010, attained her Master of Arts from the City University of New York in 2006 and received her Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2004. She also received a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Kuyper College in 2000 and spent the 1998-99 academic year studying performance at Texas Christian University. Gratia now works in Berlin as a freelance translator and editor in the arts and social sciences.
